CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEWLY ELECTED BOARD OFFICERS FOR THE NEXT TWO YEAR TERMS: PRESIDENT:                     DOUG BLANZ VICE-PRESIDENT:          ANDREW GARAFALO SECRETARY:                   JAY SIEGEL TREASURER:                   DEBBIE GONZALEZ After the Board Elections, the newly elected Board appointed the following members: BOARD MEMBER- Events Chairperson:      DAVID GOBEO BOARD MEMBER- Membership Director:   MICHAEL EISENROD Next meeting will be on Wednesday, July 15th at 7:00pm. The feature will be:                                                                 "Mitigating Your Companies Liability" We will have a panel of three RBN experts who will discuss, among other things, the types of insurance a company should have, how the way a company is held can influence your liability to lawsuits, taxes, etc, and how to control employee liability. Our May meeting featured LTC Allen West, a member and candidate for U.S. Congressional District 22, who updated us on his campaign and shared his views on the new administration. In April we have had two Business Networking Events, one on February 6 at Payzins Restaurant (3111 University Drive, Coral Springs), and the second on March 9 at Shortys Barbeque in Deerfield Beach. Both events were very well attended.  Our members enjoyed happy hour priced drinks and complimentary hor dourves. We all exchanged business cards.	BUSINESS CONNECTIONS EXPO  APRIL 15, 2009 We had a wonderful Expo for Republican business professionals. Sponsored by the Republican Business Network (RBN), this 2nd annual event was our chance to spend quality time with our members and prospective members. We had 24 exhibitors showcasing their products and services. In addtion to our members, the public also came out for this event. It was a great opportunity to learn more about local Republican businesses and share your business needs. In addition to connecting businesses with customers, our goal was to provide a dynamic referral exchange.   The Expo Connection was a step above the ordinary "Meet Republican Candidates" running for local, state and national offices.
